My tip: Jam with 70% fruit content
Written by Ingo in nutrition , tags: Darbo , fruit content , jamJam has been around for so long, it can still be improved a bit? A legitimate question, but I've since learned that recently in the emerging jam store shelves with a higher fruit content is, for me the answer is "yes."
Specifically, it is to jam like the "fruit of Empire" series of Darbo (as it is in real or at Karstadt), which have 70% fruit content instead of the usual 50%. The same six-sided jars are also available but more recently with DM (the latter is the name of their house brand "Alnatura" on it and they are even organic).

The remaining percentage are known to be mostly sugar. One might argue: "Is there then not too little sugar, jam tastes good for me as it is, it should not be less sweet."
I feel also not about the health aspect with less sugar, but the better taste. The trick is in fact to apply the jam is much thicker, the sweetness is true then and it comes to a mega-horny fruit flavor. Try it out (my favorite is raspberry, sour cherry thereafter).
And no, I'm not getting paid by whom, I find it really good.
Update on 8 October: The next time you shop for publication of this article, I found that other manufacturers have since followed suit and offer jam with 70% or even 75% (Zentis). One manufacturer (Göbber) made use of even a dirty tricks and even talked of 100% fruit content, but this is more of a publicity stunt, because with him 100g fruit land in 100g of jam, but of course lose weight during boil, then get 30% added sugar , so he also has 70% fruit. These jams are much cheaper than Darbo. The forest of fruit Göbber tastes good too (the others I have not yet tried).
