My tip: Jam with 70% fruit content
Written by Ingo in Food , tags: Darbo , fruit content , jamJam has been around so long, it can somewhat be improved? A legitimate question, but I have since learned the more recently in the emerging jam store shelves with a higher fruit content is, for me the answer is "yes."
Specifically, it is to jam like the "prodigal" series of Darbo (eg it is in Real or Karstadt), which have 70% fruit content, instead of the usual 50%. The same 6-square glass have recently become available but also with DM (the latter is the name of their house brand "Alnatura" on it and they are even organic).

The remaining percentage are known mainly sugar. One might object: "Is it not too little sugar in it for me jam tastes as good as it is, it should not be less sweet."
I feel also not about the health aspect with less sugar, but the better taste. The trick is in fact to be applied much thicker and the jam, the sweetness is true then, and it adds a mega-horny fruit flavor. Just try it (my favorite is Raspberry, then sour cherry).
And no, I am not on those, I find it really good.
Update on 8 October: The next time shopping after the publication of this article I found that other manufacturers have since followed suit, offering jams with 70% or even 75% (Zentis). One manufacturer (Göbber) made use of even a dirty tricks and even spoke of 100% fruit content, which is more of a publicity stunt, for he 100g fruit land in 100g jam, but the lose of course weight at the boil, then get 30% added sugar , so he also has 70% fruit. These jams are much cheaper than Darbo. The forest of fruit Göbber also tastes good (the others I have not yet tried).
