Behind the things a Creator or chance?
One learns early in school, that behind the things of our world and mathematical laws are there are certain constant values, such as the speed of light, the mass of an electron or the strength of the fundamental forces such as gravity. First, this does not surprise one, after all, have any value, these constants. Even more surprising is that almost all of these constants, some with surprising accuracy just have to have this value, so that a universe can arise that is similar to ours, at least roughly. Would be about the strength of which our universe cohesive fundamental forces (gravity, strong and weak interaction in nuclear, electromagnetic force) and only a few percent stronger or weaker, so we can calculate taken that after the Big Bang, the evolution of the universe, a completely different course would have. After the emergence of matter in the form of atoms in our universe, there was such as to "clumps" due to the gravitational attraction between these particles, which ultimately ensured that more and more balls were of matter from which eventually formed the individual galaxies. With only slightly different constants all this mass would be available shortly after its formation due to attractive forces again collapses in on itself into a black hole or just keeps flying apart without forming lumps, so that today it would be nothing more than a dark universe ( no lump = no stars = no light) with at best some whirling particles.
The strange thing is thus the precision of the tuning of these parameters. In fact, the Universe must be exactly as it's just so in it at all can give rise to life. It seems like an extra set for the emergence of higher life forms as we do, this circumstance is "anthropic principle" called it. The question why this is so, leaving room for speculation: If a divine Creator created the world just for us? Or is this just a simple consequence of the existence of infinitely many parallel universes in a multiverse (which currently seems opinion among physicists to be common to most): there are so many parallel universes with all possible different parameters that inevitably somewhere, even one with us correct values had to give, and this is ours, while most others are just empty and therefore there exists no one who can ask why his universe is just the way it is? Or is our universe but only a computer simulation, the simulation argument by Nick Bostrom suggests?

Crepes, who can not? This wafer-thin pancakes with integrated fold Filling - such as Nutella, apple sauce, hearty, fruit ... - Recipes, there is probably enough. At least Tim she adores. Will you make crepes themselves, so one needs a special device, which is similar to that of the professionals and is available in stores such as this from Amazon:
If you look closer material, it is noted, however, that 34 cm is not just great for crepes and that € 79.98 is not really a price at which one would like to immediately access
Is that not cheap? Is it! There are everywhere these "Party Pans" look better off than a large pan with a cord. In such a time, Tim has been making some crepes his own, and it works really well. The pan is hot in an instant, easy to clean (wipe off easily in the dishwasher but it can not), and thanks to the continuous weighing ¤ rmeregulierung crepes every possible way you would like it. And when we finally found somewhere for such a little money Holzverstreicher, Tim saw the crepe-making and still look like a pro.
Who wants to look not compare himself and takes a long time, preferably soon after this from Amazon. With 40 cm diameter, non-stick coating 1500 watts and 2-year warranty can go wrong at that price probably nothing. Oh yes, think is their real purpose, things warm at parties or those in it to prepare, it is of course also
Our crepe recipe can be found here .

The Matrix - one of the most successful science fiction films of recent years ... Unlike other films of this genre does this film trilogy, not another planet, not only in the future, and a plot level, instead "our normal" reality, except it is the movie is not for real, but a computer simulation. Thus, all people of our world "kept happy" in reality machines as an energy source tapped duration sleepers whose brain by him fooled is that man as an individual in one with all the details and possible sensory-equipped world lives - the matrix - and this world's just our perceived as real life reality.
Is our reality a computer simulation as in the movie The Matrix?
This idea - as absurd as it may sound at first - has a vital, fascinating property: Despite all this knowledge about our world, we can not in principle possible to exclude such a possibility in principle. This does not necessarily mean that I or anyone else believes, but on the other hand, we have to realize that it would be possible, at least, that our interpretation of the world, ultimately this is only just - an interpretation - and thus to be wrong.
Plato's Cave
This Plato tried nearly two and a half thousand years to make us understand. His cave says ultimately the same as the Matrix: In this parable, grow attached to chairs a cave on people and everything they see what a wall of the shadows of things or actions reflect on the backs of these people done in by these can thus be seen themselves. Because they know the world only as they come inevitably to the conclusion that this wall "the world" is that exist in this world, "Shadow" and move around, talk to each other (through the wall of sound is reflected, it seems as as if the voices come from the shadows), and that it otherwise would. If you were to tell them the truth, they could ultimately hardly believe this, because it goes beyond their experience level out and thus exceed the limits of their previous thinking was.
Virtual Realities
And why would this world be a computer game? Yes, exactly. Or something else that exceeds our imagination. This appears to the computer game is actually less far-fetched, even if one of the first generation of computer games (let's say the Packman era) with advanced three-dimensional simulations compares. And now you think about how such simulations will probably look like in 10, 20 or even 100 or 1000 years, perhaps with round helmet and 3D motion a la Wii console or direct connection to the central nervous system. Someone who would hinengeboren in such a world, and knows nothing else, would have no chance that you will not be regarded as a reality. Some further food for thought: 1) In the Pokemon game my son is the Pokemon world, through which the player is an island. Why? Well, this round has a natural boundary (the sea), so you need not simulate endlessly wide world, which would not have to do with finite programming. What is the equivalent of an island in three dimensions? That's right, a ball, a planet ... 2) All computer simulations have an inherent common: The system clock is the CPU is not really continuous movements, but ultimately only discrete, that is screened, sequences. The fineness of this grid is indeed already at our computers far beyond the limits of perception, but in principle, always present. And our world? Is not it finally continuous sequences, which would be a rebuttal? No, due to an equivalence of energy and time follows from the Planck's constant for the energy that the time is quantized in our world, just like in a computer system.
Higher dimensions and parallel universes
If we leave now, however, the computer simulations. Also in thousands of years old doctrines - such as in Buddhism - they came through deep meditation to the realization that the world is an illusion (especially the separation into independent parts, which also each individual is one, instead, everything is connected to everything, a single unit).
Our modern science has in recent decades increasingly come to realize that it is a real understanding of the nature of things much further away than we had assumed previously. And here it is far from just such seemingly mundane things like what consciousness is or how and why it controls our reality, to our health.
Sun physicists go largely from the fact that our universe 10 - or 11-is-dimensional, since according to string theory, only that number of dimensions, the vibrations of "strings" from which arise should matter all right frequencies can have mathematically the . For these frequencies in turn derives from the energy level of the string and therefore the type of elementary particle it represents. Of these dimensions, however, are just unfolds us the familiar three spatial dimensions, the others are invisible because they are rolled up in a minute space, the Big Bang might not have expanded as the other three. Or our world is a 3-brane, a three-dimensional subspace of a higher-dimensional world on the action and interaction of certain particles and forces "stuck".

Other theories assume that there is an infinite parallel universes are many: First, could this all possible outcomes of a particle wave function of the realized (see my article of life in the multiverse - which is why modern physics to be immortal, we have ). The bubble theory (or inflation model), however, considers it possible that infinite universes spatially separated many and through expanding "false vacuum") nebeneinandner exist (and this in a rapidly expanding universe in which embedded universe like a bubble exists any. Since there could be due to the uncertainty principle but at the time of the big bang (or the beginning of this world) is not really an infinite number of distinct output states, could conclude that, with an infinitely large number of universes, I would like some also exist (and not only in some, these "few" would turn even infinitely many, which in turn means that any possibility of my decisions would be implemented anywhere in a perfect universe).
Then there is the question of dark matter and dark energy. Man, the total matter and energy of our universe with some accuracy to calculate unfortunately, however, a value that is much higher than the known matter and energy of all the galaxies of our universe - missing about whopping 70%! Of this matter and Enrgie - known as dark as can be seen from her previously measured or nothing - almost nothing is known. Be Kind Rewind, is not it?
Conclusion
I assume that most people kind of thought or approaches are unknown. What is clear, however, make a conclusion must be that our world can be anything and we are certainly far from being able to understand them. What does this mean for yourself - so if you want to paranormal things in God, in a computer game where you collect karma points, or to the infinite possibilities of its own or something to believe - everyone must decide for themselves. Since it is neither science fiction nor physics in the near future to give an answer.

Today I was surfing on the side of 20q.net , the one against the program takes up on, trying to find out which concept you just thought up has. So I think I made a term - say "Guitar" or "fennel" - and the program just tries this term means a maximum of 20 questions to find out. So you get a question like "Is it bigger than a loaf of bread" and must click on the most appropriate answer (eg yes, no, sometimes, sometimes, probably not, etc. - see Figure below). In my case came based on a neural network software in fact after 19 questions the right answer, "Guitar," which surprised me but, because of the questions until then seemed to be little close to it ("Is it flat?" "Will it be hot?", ...). Try it out, was quite entertaining.
-> Click here to 20q.net (opens in new window)
Short instructions: first language (think of German "), enter gender, age and country, will do the trick.
have found out just click on the best response to 20 questions, the program must match the term.

Physicist recall experiments, by the outcome they hope to gain insight on the nature of our world. To expedite such as particles in particle accelerators kilometers to nearly the speed of light to capture the collision of these particles in the resulting new particles. Another of physicists proposed experiment, however, would not require billions of expensive equipment and still allow significant conclusions about the universe. Unfortunately, the physicist must, however, to play Russian roulette, so to put a loaded gun to his temple, in which only one chamber is filled with a ball, and pull the trigger several times, and every time he turns the drum at random. Adoption Is a current modern physics, the experiment would have the leading physicists survive the experiment, no matter how many times he would perform in a row. Thus, the physicist would have a proof of his own immortality, and yet would flow in the lab a lot of blood. How so? First some background.
This experiment has a profound source: More and more physicists suspect that we live in a multiverse, a universe in which there is not only a reality but a number. This assumption has a decades-long history, since it ultimately derives from the many of us from school famous double-slit experiment back. Bombarding you: two parallel column with a particle - such as photons - thus yields on a screen behind a characteristic Photo light pattern, a so-called diffraction pattern. That pattern suggests a rather paradoxical fact: A single particle can be common sense to pass in this experiment, either one or the other slit, but it seems actually to pass both. A particle can thus be not only one but at several places at the same time. (The famous Heisenberg uncertainty principle has to do that here too).
In the so-called Copenhagen interpretation was attempted in 1927 to resolve this paradox, by specifying that a particle in an infinite number of resident places first and only in the case of measuring its position for a "decision". This interpretation, however, for many physicists are increasingly no longer tenable. You suspect that the particle stays simultaneously in an infinite number of positions that are randomly distributed according to the wave function.
And if each particle infinitely often exists, there is also constructed from any particles of matter - we are about ourselves - in an infinite number of versions. The wacky-sounding conclusion is therefore that each of us infinitely often exists, where each version appears in a separate "dimension". This is not about space-time dimensions, but co-existing realities. These realities emerge each time to "decide" the particle must. So I try to determine its position, it chooses the particles for a possible position in this reality, each new location is realized in a different Realtät.
For the above experiment with the Russian Roulette, this means that there are of course still trying all possible outputs. Consequently, the physicists will eventually catch the ball and die. However, the possibility exists that he was 20 or even 100 times in a row lucky, it is unlikely, but the probability is greater than zero. Now, if all possible decisions are implemented, there is thus at least a reality in the lives of the physicist. And in that he will find himself inevitably, since he dies in all other realities, so that for him, only this one remains. He will feel anything like this or know that he died almost every time, he will say is that he is still intact and always worked out the experiment. This is necessarily so for him, although eyewitnesses of the experiment have him in dozens of other realities seen die. Therefore, this experiment is not to empfeheln to imitate, you will survive it but from their point of view, but they will lose their fellow human beings in most realities.
Spins one that thought to the end, it is clear that the physicists will continue to survive any misfortune in his life in at least one Realtät, it will necessarily true to its reality. And even the very unlikely possibility that an agent is found to increase life expectancy in arbitrary dimensions is possible and thus also arriving in a reality version. Thus, in 100 or 1000 years, the physicists found again in this very reality.
Conversely, the fact that we have survived in our lives all the dangers of the world, not an accident but an inevitability.
At this point I will end up in this reality, this book, maybe I would have added in other realities even further ...
This experiment and many more such assumptions of physics is described in the book The Universe Next Door by Marcus Chown, the one at the Amazon link below gets over.
